Fine, it's incest to you, but it's not to other people. Don't act like your word is law. 
Cousin marriages have also been historically active. We all came from freaking incest. First cousins (e.g. Neji and Hinata) having a child is only as risky as a woman over forty years old having a child. And having a child over forty increases chances on having defects by only 3%. There's already at least 3% chance to have genetic defects, add that up with another 3%, you get 6%, but it's still a very very small chance on having defects/disorders. We all have defects, you know. From having Down's Symdrome to simply, being asthmatic.

I'm not saying incest is wrong and shouldn't be legal, I'm just saying that it's rather gross to have a brother and sister, cousins, etc. getting involved in romantic stuff like sex and such. It's only my opinion. Sorry, I've been known to get rather defensive...

Why bring it? It's to show that incest is not as gross as you'd thought it be, and, it would also vary on the relationship and the status between the cousins whether they "get involved in romantic stuff" or not.
It's been known, that estranged cousins find each other attractive when they see each other after a long time of not being able to, so... *shrugs* We may never know. I don't even want NejiHina to happen so, ehhh, moot point.

Im not trying to be rude to all the NejiHina fans out there but...
where's the evidence? i just want to see why people put them together. I myself being a NejiTen fan, just want a little evidence.
I mean its not the incest thing that makes me dislike the couple, so dont get me wrong. Even if they weren't related i still don't like the pairing. only because in my opinion they are just complete opposites
and im not trying to attack ANY NejiHina fans out there i actually want to hear their opinion as to why they think that Neji and Hinata should be together. Ill take any answers without argument.

Yosh. Proofs...?
1. During the Chuunin Exams; Hinata understood what Neji felt. And he was on a blind rage for that. All Tenten says is that he's awesome blah blah~
[But, I love Tenten as much as I love Hinata. I love Tenten with Lee. She deserves soemone as awesome as him. ^o^]
2. Even though it happened way long ago, Neji said that Hinata was cute. But, if Neji supposedly "hated" her, why bother showing that time he called her cute? Why did he bother to remember it...? He could just skip it, IMO.
3. Although it isn't canon, why did Neji turn around when he suggested Hinata to go see Naruto...? We may never know.
4. Hinata was the first person to receive Neji's genuine smile. Sure, he smiled at her in a brotherly fashion, but to become very sincere to Hinata in such a short amount of time, that might go deeper. ;D

NejiTen is my OTP4lyfeyo. But I even have to admit... NejiHina is probably one of the [dirtiest] hottest pairings in the anime. And, uh, angst. Hello. Yes please. The dynamic, in hands of someone who could make it work, is fabulous.

I'm not big on SasuHina either. Most people just pair them together for the sake of NaruSaku which I think is just silly. And I have yet to see a SasuHina or any moments where they're even next to each other really. That pairing doesn't make any sense to me at all. <_<
But I tell people that I don't mind it to avoid arguments. Haha, you know how people can get when you disagree with them. They try to shove their beliefs down your throat.
