Contest entry for . Whoooo! I actually managed to get it done! *dances* I hope it's correct, now!
Anyway, this is Red, from the Pocket Monster Special Manga! So, now, he's not Ash/Satoshi. Really. I promise. This is the regularly coloured version, there will be one more! ^_~
Pikachu looks fat. I love that little mouse, but I can't draw it worth darn!

Also - Satoshi Tajiri is who I credit for Pokemon. He seems the safest to credit seeing as how he's the introvert who came up with the idea.
Based on catching tadpoles and the such at the pond as a kid, contrary to popular screams of ripoff. Y'know, I wonder if THAT'S why Red's first Pokemon was a Poliwag (or, y'know, whatever its japanese name is)... never thought of that.

Actually, Pikachu started out rather chubby, I think its popularity made the artists increase its cute factor. And the details are excellent, good job! And zomg two entries. 0__O

Yeah, using reference photos are good, I do that a lot too! Helps with anatomy too, so it's twice as effective!

Thank you! I am definitely trying, although I'm mostly keeping to young or girly-looking boys right now, because that's just easier at the moment! Hopefully I'll master it one day!
