Childhood on the streets during an apocalypse, problematic relationship with father, ABUSIVE boyfriend, being a bloody vampire, and the breaking up of a deep friendship... or even a romantic relationship. We can't be sure.
This radiates heartbreak or grief or loss or something. Particularly with PB somewhat comforting her.
