i started this photomanipulation a few month ago, then put it aside and finally finished it now...after i took some stock photos with a bed sheet as a dress, i thought it would be fun to work with one of the images.
originally i had a different colour scheme and background in mind, but i changed it twice.
The dark empress... you can create your own story about this art piece
she is a giant and the ruler of the night in a distant universe. hmm, i didn't really think about what she is supposed to be while creating this image.

thank you! the skin is airbrushed with a slightly transparent soft edged brush. usually i start with the darker shades and then continue adding paler highlights. i only keep the parts of the original photo which are hard to draw like the nose and the fingers.

please dont be mad okay.. but is the arm on the right (viewer's view) a little bit off? i dunno.. or is it just my eyes.. please dont be mad... i love your works soo much.. i really do... and i wish i could do soemthing like that one day..

yes, you were right, the arm was too bright and a bit out of shape. i have fixed it now and just uploaded the newer version.
don't worry, i won't get angry at any suggestion that i receive. when i sit infront of an artpiece for days, i don't notice the mistakes myself anymore. so it is really helpful when other artist point them out.

Stimmt, das Foto war ueberbelichtet und ich hab nicht mehr so viel darueber gemalt. Die meiste Zeit hab ich mit dem Hintergrund verbracht.
In einer Welt wo Drachen herumfliegen und wo es 2 Monde gibt, hab ich es wohl mit den LichtverhΓ€ltnissen nicht ganz genau genommen

this one took a long time to complete. the original size is 4500x6000 pixels and i tried to put lots of effort into the small details.

Most of the comissions I'm paid for require 10k px pictures... I wouldn't have imagined someone is so dedicated as to do HUGE pictures for their own enjoyment...

true, it takes so much more time when working on huge images.
but i sell them as prints in the largest size that is available on devart. that's why all of the details should be sharp and clear.
