Whenever I use the eraser, it takes everything off or looks horrible. Do I have to do it on a certain layer or add a layer mask to a certain layer?

you need to lower the opacity on the eraser (:

okay i am completely lost...the tutorial was great up until you said to copy into a 700pxx700px...i have no clue how to do that...i figured if its already in 700x700 its okay so i went to overlay for the glitter and stuff....how the hec do you do the glitter? i was using a different eye not this one...

but yeah i have no experience to photoshop before this really...so i am lost...if you could help that would be great!
