This here man is Clancy, an astronomer/physicist who invented the telescope on Life.

Native to the island of Kenarii, he was a member of the Ashen Astronomer Society for long before his invention. When he brought forward his invention, he got praise and credit but the Society limited the patent of the tool only to themselves, barring the rest of the world from using it.

As an educator, Clancy was strongly opposed to this rule even though he was aware this was most likely going to happen. First he attempted to include the specific workings of the tool into his lectures but he was quickly forbidden to do so.

After nine years of improving the telescope and fighting a legal battle, Clancy left Kenarii to spread his knowledge to the rest of the world himself together with two colleagues. He took a great risk doing this and could face legal persecution were he to ever return.

Clancy is a sweetheart with great albeit a bit too passionate intentions. He’s charismatic and can talk his way out of a majority of situations. Right now all he wants is for the world to see his creation and to improve it alongside him, for the better of all of demonkind. Since when do I create good hearted scientist characters?

My original idea for him was to be a mage, but I'm not sure now.
