Newest updated map! If you look at the old map you'll see a lot has changed here, mostly distance between islands and the location of them all. Plus an addition of islands in The West where I'll add some cool stuff in.I plan on doing more with The West, too. Decrease its technology levels and stuff like that. The sea between the western and eastern continents has also been made much larger, making everything more about ships and war at sea than anything else.

I'm really curious what all the colours mean. Do they represent climates?

They don't really mean anything. As a hobbyist rather than a cartographer, I don't really follow any rules for my silly little mapmaking, so I just coloured the countries to look good and to make them distinguishable from each other on a lineless map c:

That works, lots of maps use the same technique to distinguish between countries.

Colours can represent political affiliation, climate or population. On a fantasy map it could represent the major race in each area. It's really up to you.

Ah, that's on statistical maps usually. This is the political map, that one map showing the borders and all of that but nothing else. I don't know if they have any regulations.

When I decided to fuck up The West I also got the idea of making the world larger and more immersive by starting with the map. I'm really glad with all those unexplored islands in the west of The West and I love how I changed some of the countries' locations too! Now if only I weren't so bad at strategy that I don't know how the attack plans would work :'D
