Name: Zephyr [Zeph] Hawthrone
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Type: Half Vampire/Half Werewolf
Grade: 11
Team: Track and Field

Physical Description: Standing 5’ 10” in height and weighing, 150 lbs, Zephyr’s lean body looks very wolfish with brown fur covering his back, arms, legs, face and tail (yes, tail!). If it wasn’t for some “odd” features, you’d think he’s a full fledged Werewolf. Only his blood red eyes, pale skin, batty ears, sharp, pointed fangs and aquiline facial features (the only stuff he inherited from his vampire mother’s aristocratic lineage) gives a hint to his rather nocturnal nature. The long, shaggy dark brown hair, which he always ties in a messy ponytail, gives his handsome face a wilder and untamed look (which girls seemed to dig, a fact unknown to Zephyr). He can grow/retract a pair of batty wings at will almost instantly and change into his wolf form (he calls it wolf form but he looks like a wolfish dog with bat wings, something his younger siblings always tease him about) any time he wants.

Likes: meat, hunting in the woods, playing with siblings, stargazing, moonlit walks, listening to music, sprinting/flying through the forest, races, challenges, mind games, intelligent conversations, dusk/night, garlic (wut?! O.o`)

Dislikes: veggies, dawn/morning, strong scents, noise, silver, memorizing, airheads, alcohol/smoking/drugs, hurting people emotionally, vampires and werewolves

Personality: At school, Zephyr is a shy and silent type of guy. He’s usually found alone, poring over his books, or sitting under a tree, closed eyes, headphones blaring music into his ears. Not that he’s anti-social, he’s just not used to mingling with other people. The fact that the students and teachers at Wormwood accept him for he is still boggles him. That, plus the fact that he’s too busy with his studies to even notice anything else has made his social life rather limited. It’s not like he needs to put some effort, he’s smart enough to ace his classes without opening his books. But he still seems rather obsessed with knowing more, and making himself better than he already is. Nobody understands where this drive is coming from, but nobody really understands him anyway. People don’t know a lot about him as he usually just keeps to himself, although some had dared to proclaim themselves his friends. His natural intelligence and good looks had gained him many admirers. Not that he has paid any attention to it for him to be aware of the lines of girls (and gays? O.o) fainting and fawning over him when he passes, or screaming their lungs out when he’s out in the field, winning races for the track and field team. Despite his detachment being easily mistaken as uncaring and snobbish, he actually is a kind and compassionate soul, ready to lend a helping hand (or paw, whichever the case maybe) to those who need him... well, to ALMOST everyone, that is. He seemed more cold and ill-tempered (sometimes bordering on mean) towards werewolves and vampires, especially to Ash and Mint. Secretly though, he’s harboring a crush on Ash, sometimes hating himself for it.

Background: Zephyr is not a stranger to being an outcast. Having a werewolf for a father and a vampire for a mother, he and his siblings had been shunned from both races together with their parents. As such, they lived secluded in the forest, away from the accusing stares and prejudice of their kin. But this didn’t keep Zephyr from growing up in a happy and loving family. In fact, the exile had caused them to grow much closer together. They lived a simple and quiet life in the forest, hunting for food, and looking out for each other. There, Zeph had spent most his childhood playing with his little brother and sister, which he is very protective of. While growing up, Zeph had honed his senses to their full potential, developing reflexes and speed while hunting for his prey. When he came of age to start school, he had to leave the protection of the forest and once again join the world that had once turned it’s ugly back on him. There he saw what he had been missing, what living a hermetic life had robbed him of. Right then he swore upon his heart that he will regain his family’s honor, and lift them out of the condition they are in now.

Fun facts: Zeph likes garlic, or rather the taste of it. In fact, he’s developed a certain addiction to it despite the fact that eating it causes some “allergies”. This allergy actually manifests with his sneezing a lot and then transforming into his wolf form (or back) every time he does. This has lead to rather embarrassing moments as his clothes falls off him when he transforms into a wolf.
