1) BLACK SCREEN
TITLES BEGIN
NARRATOR
(V.O.)
This film is based on the sonnet by Elixir Phoenix. But, first, I have some jokes.
Noise of papers shuffling can be heard and then a loud splat.
BOB
(V.O.)
Taco Salad! Taco Salad! Taco Salad!
NARRATOR
(V.O.)
Bob!
BOB
(V.O.)
Is Mr. Narrator angry? Huh? Huh?
NARRATOR
(V.O.)
Who allowed you in here? I am getting you out right now!
The sound of something being pulled out of a bag can be heard.
NARRATOR
(V.O.)
Where did you get that skeleton?
BOB
(V.O.)
I have some skeletons in my closet.
NARRATOR
(V.O.)
Bob, that's an expression and is not meant to be taken literally!
Bob
(V.O.)
But what am I going to do about the skeletons?
NARRATOR
(V.O.)
Arg!
Some birds can be heard going by.
BOB
(V.O.)
Those parrots were American!
NARRATOR
(V.O.)
Just leave!
BOB
(V.O.)
But I want to sing a song first.
NARRATOR
(V.O.)
No! Oh, God! No!
TITLES END
BOB starts to sing the Barney theme song and the screen bursts into flames and then there is a large cloud of smoke.
DISSOLVE TO
2) EXT. SMALL ISLAND – RIGHT BEFORE SUNRISE
We are in some clouds and the camera TILTS DOWN so we see an island. The island has old looking walls around it that stop at the water's edge. There are farms and houses on it. There is also a temple directly in the center of the island. There are dense forests near the center of the island. There are tall towers around the island with bells in them. The only problem is that no people seem to be on the island, but there seems to be a light on the east side of the island. ZOOM IN to a tower looking directly into the middle and stopping just short of actually going into the tower. There are four large openings and we are looking from the one opening to the sea.
3) INT. TOWER – JUST BEFORE SUNRISE – EXTREME CLOSE-UP – SHERA
SHERA cannot be seen yet but we do hear some breathing.
4) SHERA'S POV – SEA
The sun starts to rise slowly.
SHERA
(Excited whisper getting steadily louder with each word)
Sola! Sola! Sola! Sola! Sola!
The sun has risen. The camera TILTS DOWN and we can some of SHERA'S shirt, pants, and shoes.
5) EXT. TOWER – DAY – MEDIUM LONG SHOT – SHERA
SHERA has just raised her head to a normal position and is smiling. She then starts to dance. We can see that she is in her late teens.
6) SERIES OF SHOTS
A) Some children play on a farm.
B) Seagulls fly over the temple.
C) Flowers blossom by a cave.
7) EXT. TEMPLE – DAY – ESTABLISHING
The temple is marble while the roof is gold. In the middle of the roof there is a silver globe with gold sticking out like rays of light. There are gardens around the temple with trees that have golden flowers in full bloom. There are groups of children running around with parents trying to calm them down. A man of twenty-five stands directly in front of the temple while SHERA walks up to him.
8) TWO SHOT – SHERA AND APOLLO
There is a pillar to APOLLO'S left and SHERA stands to his right.
SHERA
I haven't seen you here in a long time, Apollo. I've missed you. Ever since a few weeks ago you haven't seemed to participate in any of Sola's celebrations.
APOLLO
Shera, there are more important things than to follow blindly. I know what I follow and I know that with the full wisdom of an adult and not a child.
SHERA
But you have desecrated ceremonies countless times without giving a reason why.
9) EXTREME CLOSEUP – APOLLO'S EYES
You can see anger boiling in the depth of his eyes. A fire of rage seems to ignite in each spark of sunlight into his eyes.
APOLLO
(O.S.)
There is a reason why. What you don't seem to realize is that this place is rotting. This place is going away.
10) EXTREME CLOSEUP –APOLLO'S HANDS
His hands are white with thin streaks of silver that are hardly visible.
APOLLO
(O.S.)
We have forgotten what is truly important, Shera.
11) MED. SHOT – SHERA AND APOLLO
APOLLO takes SHERA'S hands into his own.
APOLLO
You know I love you dearly, but there are things I must do to survive. I will never leave you, remember that.
They lock eyes and both smile.
SHERA
I will not abandon you even at night.
12) SHERA'S POV – STEPS OF THE TEMPLE
SHERA'S HEAD tilts down and we see small cracks on the temple steps. There is an ugly weed that grows there and then she looks into Apollo's eyes again.
13) SERIES OF SHOTS
A) Laundry on a laundry line blows in the wind.
B) Dandelions blow in the wind close to tree level.
C) A family races inside their house as the sun sets.
14) EXT. SMALL TENT IN A FOREST – NIGHT – ESTABLISHING
APOLLO is sitting by the tent. He looks slightly different than when we last saw him. Now silver streaks are visible all across his body, his white skin even glows.
15) MEDIUM LONG SHOT – APOLLO
APOLLO looks up at the night sky.
APOLLO
Poor man that I am, I can be seen during the night. Shera, how I wish this could happen to you too. Too long have we been made to suffer during the night and not find joy during it.
APOLLO points up towards the sky.
APOLLO
How lovely these stars are, there is some form to them. I have already made figures from them. Seagulls, roses, and towers. Oh, why hasn't anyone else done this before? Are they too frightened of what is natural to them?
He puts his hand down by his side.
APOLLO
How I wish my powers were more profound. I only have this odd visibility and…
APOLLO puts his right hand to the ground and an odd flower grows. It is like a rose but has silver petals and no thorns.
16) EXTREME CLOSEUP – SILVER FLOWER
We stare directly into the center of the flower. Small amounts of gold and onyx can be seen, but only as tiny little dots spaced a great distance apart from each other.
17) MEDIUM LONG SHOT – APOLLO
APOLLO picks up the flower and holds it high.
APOLLO
What is the use of this flower? I do not know that answer. I wish to know it so that I'll be at peace. Maybe Shera will like it. For some reason, though, I fear showing it to her when Sola is watching.
APOLLO puts the flower down.
APOLLO
I will save it for another time. Soon, I promise, Shera will see that flower. Very soon.
18) SERIES OF SHOT
A) Apollo makes a fire for breakfast.
B) A mob gathers in front of the Temple.
C) Silver vines grow on a boulder.
19) EXT. SMALL HOUSE – NOON
The house has grass as its roof and it seems beaten. There are no other houses around this one. Wild flowers grow around the house and a dog is lying under a window. The window is dirty and translucent, but two figures can be seen inside.
20) INT. SMALL HOUSE'S KITCHEN – NOON - ESTABLISHING
It is a small kitchen and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in awhile. A table has accumulated dust and dirty dishes are in the sink. SHERA and PAM are standing in front of the sink. PAM looks old and as though she has not showered for awhile. SHERA has some mud on her clothing.
21) TWO SHOT – SHERA AND PAM
SHERA stares hard at PAM and PAM throws her arms up into the air, then brings them back down again.
PAM
Shera, why do you question the order? That order follows the law set down by Sola. You spend too much time with that Apollo. Respectable he could be if he only followed the rules. But the rumor is that he worships Luna, dreadful demon.
SHERA
Come on, Pam, Luna can't be that dreadful or she wouldn't be allowed to come out every night.
PAM
Luna is a tricky one. She steals Sola's light and then gives it off during the night. It's an abomination. That's what it is. To think of someone stealing what is Sola's is so horrible I grow sick at the thought of it.
SHERA
But Luna's stolen light is not as strong as Sola's light. We have nothing to worry about.
PAM
The reason I called you here is because there was the remains of a campfire made. Some say Apollo did it.
22) EXTREME CLOSEUP – SHERA'S EYES
SHERA'S eyes open wide in shock.
PAM
(O.S.)
I knew that would interest you. Do you think you could go out with that traitor now?
23) SERIES OF SHOTS
A) SHERA and APOLLO arguing in a bell tower.
B) SHERA is cleaning a child's room.
C) APOLLO throws a diamond ring into the forest.
24) ANGLE ON CALVARY – TRAVELING
The CALVARY are running across the island. They come down a hill whose grass is turning white. They wear armor that appears to have been made out of sunlight and they seem very experienced. They then enter a small forest. The CALVARY stops.
25) INT. FOREST – NOON – MEDIUM LONG SHOT - CALVARY
The CALVARY os in front of us and there seems to be an old path through the forest. The camera TILTS UP and the upper branches of the trees are dense but able to hide a human. The camera ZOOMS IN into one of the branches and stops as APOLLO'S body can faintly be seen. He seems as though he is holding himself still but is in great pain. The camera ZOOMS OUT to the position it was before and TILTS DOWN so the CALVARY can be seen like they were at the start of the shot.
APOLLO
(V.O.)
Heathens, villains they are. Pompous they stand as the guardians of Sola, the army of Sola has many soldiers. Truth be told, though, there is a chance I can win. Shera, believe me when I say that what you follow is unjust. Though, I'm sure, to you it doesn't seem so.
The one who seems to be the LEADER raises his hand.
LEADER
Our prey is close at hand. Soon Sola's enemy shall be caught and Luna's power taken away forever!
The OTHERS cheer loudly.
SHERA
(V.O.)
You are foolish to go against Sola. And what you are may curse the entire island! Turn yourself in so that Sola does not abandon us!
APOLLO
(V.O.)
I know I am a pawn, I have been told so. But it must happen. Do you not believe that a just cause is what I would fight for?
SHERA
(V.O.)
You are a traitor to Sola and to me.
26) MONTAGE
A) APOLLO shivering in the tree.
B) SHERA and APOLLO arguing.
C) APOLLO shivering in the tree.
D) SHERA walking away from APOLLO.
E) A tear starts to come down from one of APOLLO'S eyes.
27) MEDIUM CLOSE-UP – LEADER
LEADER hears APOLLO and tilts his head up.
LEADER
Come down here or perish!
APOLLO
(O.S.)
I shall perish whether I come down or stay here! Sola hurts me! He hurts me! I can find no escape! I think death would be more heavenly than life!
LEADER
Then you are Apollo, whom we have heard much about! We shall make sure your end is swift!
28) SERIES OF SHOTS
A) SHERA starts a small campfire.
B) A bloody APOLLO falls into the cave shown in shot 6C.
C) People pray on the steps of the temple.
29) EXT. CAVE – DAY – LONG SHOT – SHERA
SHERA walks up to the cave whose flowers, that we had seen before, have wilted and died. SHERA looks down at them and shivers. There seems to be an odd glow coming from the cave.
30) INT. CAVE – DAY – MEDIUM LONG SHOT – SHERA
SHERA seems nervous to be near the cave. She steps timidly inside the cave.
SHERA
Apollo? Apollo, I need to speak with you. I know you're there.
31) ANGLE – SHERA
DOLLY ON HER as she walks through the cave. We are behind her and the light starts to grow dim. b.g. there is the sound of dripping water.
SHERA
Apollo, can you hear me?
SHERA stops as she notices something.
32) SHERA'S POV – STRANGE OBJECT
There seems to be a large lump. The camera TILTS DOWN and we can see what appears to be blood. The camera TILTS UP to its original position. ZOOM IN on the STRANGE OBJECT and we can see its chest moving up and down.
33) STRANGE OBJECT'S POV – SHERA
b.g. breathing can be heard, though it is faint. SHERA appears to be worried and the STRANGE OBJECT tries to get up but falls down.
STRANGE OBJECT
Shera…
SHERA rushes over to the STRANGE OBJECT and sits the STRANGE OBJECT'S HEAD onto her lap.
SHERA
Apollo, I'm here. I'm back.
APOLLO
Why…did…you…come…here…
SHERA
I realized that I did not want you to die.
34) TWO SHOT – HOLMES
SHERA looks down at APOLLO who seems to be dying.
APOLLO
It…is…not…your…decision…
APOLLO smiles at SHERA, who looks like she is going to cry.
35) MONTAGE
A) APOLLO'S EYES flutter.
B) A PRIEST kneels at the altar in the temple.
C) APOLLO coughs and blood comes out of his mouth.
D) The PRIEST offers wine.
36) ANGLE ON RIDER – TRAVELING
The RIDER is going through small clusters of houses riding as fast as he can.
RIDER
(V.O.)
Sola help us all.
37) EXTREME CLOSEUP – APOLLO'S CHEST
APOLLO'S CHEST is going up and down, slower and slower. Suddenly a glow comes in the middle and a silver vine comes out of it. The vine quickly covers APOLLO'S BODY.
38) TWO SHOT – SHERA AND APOLLO
SHERA holds onto APOLLO as the vine comes out of him and silver flowers sprout from the vine. TENDRIL shoots from APOLLO'S mouth and races away.
39) ANGLE ON VINE– TRAVELING
VINE travels out and lets out other vines that grow flowers. It is going quickly and goes over a good deal of terrain, always heading towards the center of the island, to the temple.
40) EXT. SMALL ISLAND – DAY
Tendrils and silver flowers can be seen covering the whole island. They grow quickly and cover everything.
41) SERIES OF SHOTS
A) Children run in fear and cry from the tendrils.
B) A hermit prays as the tendrils cover him.
C) A bell tower comes crashing down.
D) A family is inside and is in silent prayer as the vine comes into their house.
E) A husband and wife pray loudly to be saved as vines come towards them.
F) A group of children are not harmed as the vines pass them.
42) TWO SHOT – SHERA AND APOLLO
Where APOLLO was is now a giant silver flower that is closed. SHERA is look at it and looks scared as to what will happen. It opens slowly and moonlight comes out from it. APOLLO is in the center of the flower, clothed in robes made of the silver flower petals.
APOLLO
It is fine, I am fine. Once again Sola and Luna will rule together. The ones who worshiped Sola and not Luna have been…punished. Those who worshiped Luna and not Sola have also been…punished. Sola had grown too proud of himself and so had denied Luna her power. Without Luna's power being able to run freely we lost ourselves at night.
SHERA
What do you mean by punished?
APOLLO
They have been killed. But, do not fear, those who survived are safe. This island shall rise out of its ashes and wake up to a time where day and night are equally important.
SHERA embraces APOLLO. They stay like this for a few moments.
APOLLO
Do you accept me like you once did?
SHERA
Yes.
SHERA and APOLLO kiss.

How did you come up with the stage directions, camera angles, etc.? It was like I was watching a movie. I wish it was a movie so I could watch it!
