Everybody likes ravens. I had no idea how huge they are until I saw a stuffed one at the Harvard Museum of Natural History last year. Huge! Anyway, how did you isolate the foreground from the background?

I don't believe I seperated the two.
And I saw a raven in Yosemite, I believe I did, man was it bigO.O

You must have, otherwise the gradient would have covered the raven. Somehow, you separated the raven from the things behind it.

It's one layer. If you look there are little splotches around the raven. It was one layer. I filled and the raven was like a block, blocking a total fill of the layer.
