Description The Books of Oyja V: The Four Karmas
Chapter 4 The Karma of Air

I was flying over mountains, the cold air was refreshing. In the air above me were dead Jedi Masters. We were all going somewhere wondrous; we were going to become one with the Force. I breathed in the cold air and felt it flow into me, going into all the hidden crevices of my body. The cold became me; my body disappeared and was replaced by the air. The dead Jedi Masters were now a part of me. My mind exploded.

I sat up quickly. The dream's explosion had traveled into my waking life. I shook my head, trying to clear it of what had happened, and was rocketed into one of the walls of my room. I tried to recover from that shock when I slammed into the other wall. This continued for a few minutes before I was able to use the Force to slow down.

My mind was speeding up quickly as I tried to slow it down; concentrating was becoming hard to do. Now bumping into the walls, and any other objects in my room, didn't distract me. Strangely, I didn't feel any pain when I bumped into them now. I closed and then opened my eyes, staring down at my body. I looked like a ghost. Raising my hand to my face, I could see my room passing by through it. As this was trying to be processed by my mind, I went through one of my walls into the next room.

Finally, I was able to stop right above a Padawan's head. He looked up at me and gasped; his eyes shone with fear. He stood right up and raced into his bathroom to hide. The door slammed with a loud sound and the Padawan's shivers could be clearly heard through it. I almost felt like laughing, but I couldn't. I tried to, but it just wasn't possible for me.

I was becoming less and less visible, so I decided to look for my Padawan, Siri Tachi. I pushed myself out of the Padawan's room, through his door. Looking around, I figured out where I was. Floating down the hallway, other Jedi came out and went quickly into any room as quickly as possible. Sighing, I decided to try a quicker route. I made myself float up through the ceiling into the room above.

As I passed through the ceiling, I went through someone. I could see the blood flowing through her body, how the hairs were starting to come out of her legs, and how her skin reacted when she jumped back. With all these wonders in my mind, I continued my journey out of the floor. Now she had drawn her lightsaber, as though she could kill me in my current state. "I'm-" I said and then I couldn't say anything else.

I put a hand to my throat in shock. I quickly continued my journey to Siri's room. Suddenly, it seemed, a burst of wind sent me spiraling across the Jedi Temple. I was pushed down and the Jedi and rooms streamed past me. I tried to shake myself free, but couldn't. I struggled as hard as I could, but the force kept on pushing me down further and further; faster and faster.

I felt a coldness enveloping me, and I attempted to use the Force to shield myself. The coldness seemed to laugh and ripped at my Force shielding like paper. I looked and saw the Force bleeding, like a fruit, from the wound. The coldness laughed and, if it had a face, grinned. Before the killing blow could be made, something else pushed the coldness away.

You need to be careful, young one. A voice said to me, the same voice that had pushed away the coldness. I looked around and saw that I was in a mediation room and was solid once again. With your new duties, you will be faced with a darkness that you have never seen before. Your Jedi abilities will still be needed, though.

"Who are you?" I asked and the air shimmered before a faint outline of a humanoid could be seen. "And what darkness do you mean? It is true I have never faced a Sith, but I still know about the dark side."

The voice seemed to laugh. The dark side is not the only darkness there is to fear. It said. There is something much greater and more ancient than your dark side. Don't worry; there are those that are watching out for you, you will not be fully alone. A warrior will come to guide you on your way. It held out its hand and I took it, slowly. I will give you my knowledge of how to control your new found power. Unlike my own initiation, yours is speeded up. Doltan needs to be killed. With that, it went away, as though it had never been there.

I stared at where the voice had been and then left the room. I headed straight for Siri's room. When I got to her room, I knocked on her door. "Siri, it's your master." I said and she quickly opened the door. She looked at me like she was looking at a ghost. "It's me, Siri. Has the confrontation changed me?"

"Are you really my master?" Siri asked. "You just seem…different. You look pale and your hair is silver. I don't believe you." She then backed away; I went into her bathroom and looked at my reflection. She was right; I didn't look like myself at all. If the initiation had gone at the right speed would I have understood what was happening to me? I looked back at Siri and finally understood her gaze.

"I don't know what happened." I told her. "I woke up and turned into a ghost, was nearly killed by a dark force, and then saved by a voice. The voice talked about an initiation and said someone called Doltan needs to be killed. Do you remember hearing about anyone called Doltan?"

Siri shook her head. "The only person in the news that sticks out in my mind, now, is Minaz who claims he's a descendant of the Sith Lord Darth Oyja." She replied. "I don't think he would be connected to Doltan. Doltan sounds like a serious matter and Minaz is just someone else seeking attention."

I nodded; I had been annoyed at Minaz also. "He thinks that he can just throw information like that around and expect everyone to believe him." I said angrily. "I know it has been a very long time since the Great Sith War, but his family should've come out sooner to report this fact."

"I think people have begun to research into Minaz's past and have found his records lacking." Siri said. "I believe some of them have been forged. Maybe the Jedi Archives have a file on Doltan." I nodded in agreement. "So you are Adi?" She asked.

We both headed towards the door when my comlink went off. I answered it by saying, "This is Jedi Knight Adi Gallia."

"Master Gallia, a visitor we have." Yoda said. "Come to the Council Chambers, you must."
