Description
Chapter 1 Nevermore“Pal! To your right!” Liam shouted as I narrowly dodged a laser blast from one of Sepersta’s fighters. My fighter wasn’t really a fighter meant for serious battles, but a ceremonial fighter I liked to use in friendly battles. This was anything but a friendly battle. I shot at an enemy fighter with radiation rays which slightly damaged the fighter and then it came back at me, that moment of ego was the opportunity Liam needed to shoot it.
This was a battle that was part of a war that had stretched through millennia, though now it had gotten much more violent. It had started when Onrii had come free of his imprisonment and had attacked Sola. Elixir Foin, myself, Krystal, and some others had destroyed Onrii for good. But then came Sepersta.
Turning my head, I could see her main ship, the Serpent’s Rage. The ship carried with it a sense of darkness, for she was a goddess of the night. A laser blast went over my right wing. “Shit.” I muttered and swerved, trying to throw off the fighter. “Liam! Anytime now!” I yelled.
Laughing could be heard from him. “Pal, some things you have to deal with on your own, I have my own little problems.” Turning my head I could see his problems. Two little kryns, or space snakes, were coming after him. They were a mixture of organic and mechanic materials. They shot out voids which caught any laser blast or radiation. Then, under certain circumstances, they would slam into a fighter, or ship, and use what they ‘caught’ to cause harm. Liam’s kryns seemed to have LOTS of pent up energy.
“You’re in a load of trouble, buddy.” I said. “Let me finish with my chore and I’ll come to you.” With that, I continued to swerve and tried to catch the fighter in some friendly fire. This enemy fighter was round and had two large wings on it. Each wing held a deadly laser. These were top of the line killers, pure energy straight at you.
The fighter was very persistent and dodged the friendly fire. I then swerved again and again, then called upon my powers as a Priest of Elixir Foin. I started to overheat the fighter’s lasers. If, in space, sound traveled you could then hear a loud bang. I turned around and laughed. “I’ll be with you in a sec, Liam.” I replied and tried to find him.
Sepersta seemed to like kryns so much that the battle field was flooded with them. These must be very special kryns for they were trusted with so much. To be trusted so as to not bump into other ships and fighters, a very hard job since ships and fighters included Sepersta’s own collection. And a very impressive collection at that. So many ships and so many people, I highly doubted Nadre could hold that many people.
Picking Liam’s fighters out of the thousands that were already on the field was quite a task. But I finally found him and raced towards him. Liam wasn’t a Priest and didn’t posses any god given powers. But, on the side, I had taught him some prayers to other gods and goddesses. Those weren’t doing him any good warding the kryns off. I shot at one of them and they dodged it. Smart bastards.
Igniting one of them could be dangerous. “Buddy, are you prepared for some kamikaze type action?” I asked Liam.
“Dear Foin. What do you have planned?” Liam asked in a curious manner.
I laughed. “Just follow me and make sure your new buddies do also.” As I finished this I searched for some area that was thicker with Sepersta’s fighters than most. I knew what I was planning to do could also harm my comrades as well as hurt Sepersta’s. “Hell with it.” I said and went towards a battle cruiser of Sepersta’s.
“Pal, you do realize that ship could kill us with a single shot?” Liam nearly yelped.
“It’s a calculated risk.” I replied.
“Be heroic some other time, pal.” Liam replied but I ignored him. We were nearly at the battle cruiser, which gave enough room for my plan.
“Buddy, aim directly at the cruiser and I’ll move you at the last second.” I said and I knew that, even with our friendship, he would have trouble. “If it works I’ll buy drinks for you at the pub.”
“You’re on!” Liam said and went at the cruiser with enthusiasm. I knew I wouldn’t stay out of the other fighters’ sights for long, but I stood as still as was needed. As it appeared that Liam would crash into the cruiser, I used my power to pull him beside me. Then we both fled as fast as we could. A giant explosion pushed us along. Fighter parts could be seen being blown along.
“This is better than surfing in a hurricane!” I yelled and laughed. The wind was strong and was blowing us along with the force of a million suns. Liam also joined in the laughing. Who would think that Priest Nuin would risk his life like this? Or that he would even be in such a fighter during a big battle? No one!
“Krystal won’t be happy about this!” Liam shouted and laughed. No, she wouldn’t be. Krystal Foin was daughter and heir to Elixir Foin. She was also my wife. Right now she was watching over Elixir’s sickened body.
The explosion settled down and we, with our blood running high, started attacking surviving fighters with glee. I shot radiation out and fighters became unbalanced, then Liam would finish them off. The kryns that still littered the field seemed to be retreating. That was a bad sign, Sepersta’s surprise was going to be a big one.
“Doesn’t seem good, old pal.” I said and noticed a pair of three ships, each having its own allegiance. There was dark, light, and neutral. I caught my breath as three beams met and shot at Sola. “No!” I yelled before it happened. Before the death of my home and love.
Suddenly Sola burst apart. There were thousands of pieces going everywhere. People had died. “Away!” I yelled at Liam and we both flew away before we were killed from the aftershocks. My home, my love, and my god were now gone. What was left?
Author’s Note: Lovely beginning, eh? I’m sorry for all the ‘weird’ words but, hey, that’s me. This series is based off of an rp I did, but all characters have gotten ‘revamped’.

It is difficult to keep track of so many new words at once, but really it's just the price we pay for fantasy/sci-fi reading.
I like it, it's a good begining. I thought I'd start at the begining of your writings too and work my way up

I might get back to writing it if enough people ask for it. But, I have other writing projects. Maybe during the summer or when I get out of college. I've still kept the outline.
