I was very drawn to this photo, actually.... I was surprised when I heard your opinion of it. I love it the way it is, but I tried playing around with it a little on my comp... I could show you if you like. Just let me know.... and I hope I don't upset you by using your photo, I will delete it at your command, if you like

I love this shot! I'd say try working with contrast more and possibly work with trying to get a bit more color out.
I also think it would make a great b/w shot.

glad you liked it, and thanks for such a nice comment. it is really starting to grow on me now. i think i just expect my photos to be one way and when it's new and different i think it's bad. maybe that is something i should work on this year, stepping out of the box.

haha yeah that pretty much is what he was thinking. i have another image that i'll upload in that i'll upload later where he is biting the board with his head sideways. it's pretty funny. he's young and he's a stallion so he is definitely playful!

I actually quite like the paleness of the overall shot, it makes his eyes and coloring even the more beautiful.

I think it looks perfect the way it is - all the white draws you into his ears and eyes, and the texture of the wood is great.
