Isn't "Into the light..." part of the official exorcism of the catholic church? I'm not too sure but I think I do remember that one.
The work is well done, with very little but starkly contrasting colors and a perfect use of light and darkness.
And yet, despite being called into the light the creature still has a lot of darkness clinging to it, most prominently in the lips and eyes.
Whereas the eyes are the most disturbing thing to look at, because as the saying goes "eyes are the window to the soul" and what do you do if there is only a pitch black abyss staring at you?
