I love drawing Ed’s automail. Seriously.I’m sure this will sound really weird to most of you, but this time, I wanted to focus on the back of his arm. I also wanted to draw the leg, since I’d never really done it before. Thus, much to poor Edward’s embarrassment, off came the clothes. Oh well. Anyway, I can’t say enough how fascinated I am by Arakawa’s concept of automail and how it relates to the human body. That woman is a creative genius. I’ll probably be sketching Ed and his automail in between the things related to the Untitled Project. So don’t be surprised to see more of this stuff at random intervals in the future.

wow, you're making the leg? That sounds pretty ambitious. There's some detailed pictures of the automail in the FMA Profiles book (the one for the manga, not the anime) It even talks about how it works and stuff.

Thank you!! And yeah it really is haha, I'll make the leg but probably not the foot, since i've been to one con and know now that even regular shoes hurt after walking around for eight hours
