In Mermaid Tales, we still don't know if Tafari is good or bad so I had fun.Maybe Aph exposes him and throws him above water for a good while and when he comes back, he's pissed because he's now covered in "ugly" scales. When they only have a few areas, they're pretty but when they have them everywhere, then it gets ugly. And maybe the scales isn't the only thing that changes. They get shaper nails, stronger skin, more fins.
