Description

Silvabops are a closed species by me! However, I will be posting a journal entry shortly with information on a MYO contest soon, so stay tuned!

Appearance

Silvabops are super tiny creatures, and most will even fit into your hand.

They've got large ears to help with their hearing, as they rely mostly on their listening abilities to stay safe.

They take great care in grooming themselves, and are almost always seen with clean, shiny fur.

They're super soft and fluffy!

Personality & Culture

Silvabops are sometimes shy when interacting with other species, however they're quite curious,
and especially enjoy watching humans from a distance. If a human manages to earn their trust, they
become very affectionate and enjoy being held.

Being accepted and having friends is very important to the average Silvabop, and the culture of
these creatures reflects this as well. They love to decorate themselves with jewelry and various
other accessories, both to make themselves more attractive, but also to show status.

They do enjoy showing off a little bit, but they aren't snobs at heart, as most would not hesitate
to help if they saw another Bop or even another creature in need. The only thing that would
stop them in such a situation is their slightly timid nature.

Silvabops generally live in large groups, with each group taking up a small section of the forest
for themselves. They have their own language which they use to communicate, and it differs
slightly from section to section.

There aren't necessarily any leaders, since most Bops make decisions for themselves, without
the need for more order. The main reason they tend to live in groups is because they are social
by nature. However, there are Bops who are more respected than others, because they come
from a "founding family". These Bops generally have more jewelry than others, and wear
brighter colored ribbons to show their higher status.

Another way to become a highly respected Bop is by working as a witch or a jeweler. Witches
are respected because most Bops do not know much about magic or medicine, and witch
doctors are the most common way to get cured of any illnesses. Jewelers are respected
because of accessories being a large part of Silvabop culture.

Living Space

Silvabops live in slightly larger, squirrel-hole-like spaces in trees, and decorate the insides
with resources found in the forest around them, such as brightly colored flowers, glowing
mushrooms, and the like.

They cover the entrance to their homes with leaves and vines, which does little to protect
them from the cold, and is more for the sake of privacy.

Unless the family is of a very high status, most Bops live in one hole altogether, since they
don't tend to have more than one or two pups per couple anyway. Once a pup has grown, they
usually find a partner, and decorate a new hole to make their own. A hole is claimed mostly in
this way; by decorating it to their own liking.

Shops and community areas are found generally outside of the holes, set up by the Bops
in the mornings, and then closed down at nights.

Silvabops usually choose to live in moderate climates. However, there are some Bops who
prefer the cold, but they usually tend to live in smaller groups and have much thicker fur.
