Story time!!
In my "reboot" the Crystalsapiens are from the planet Mor' Otesi, in the same solar system where is Petropia (like Mars and Earth)
One day a meteor shower destroyed Mor' Otesi, the Petrosapiens accepted the Crystalsapiens to live on their planet, creating a strong bonding and sharing knowledge and technology, until... well "Tetrax's backstory" happened.
Tetrax saw them as invaders, so it wasn't hard for Vilgax to convince him to steal the Back-up Crystal from the Crystalsapiens.
Chromastone reminds me of Evangelion :v

I would comment on giving him clothes when his indigo stone armor acts like clothes as is but I can (mostly) forgive that cause you've removed his stupid flying power. That alone is always a smart choice.
