This polaroid is part of the Reaper War Exhibition in London at the Modern Museum in year 2260.

The polaroid is dated the night before the final stand against the Reapers. Scholars and scientists believe Haze Shepard somehow knew she wouldn't survive the last battle and on the night before it she snapped a picture of herself next to Ashley, leaving it on the pillow on Ashley's side of the bed.

Long after Ashley's death her children found this polaroid in a hidden box. This is the last picture of Commander Shepard alive and to this day scholars debate what Haze Shepard had been thinking and whether Lieutenant Commander Ashley Williams was aware of having her picture taken or not. Is she awake in the picture or asleep? Some argue that the lieutenant is smiling in the picture while others argue it is simply the shadows making it appears as if she's smiling. Others also debate whether or not Ashley knew this were their last night together. Some theories point towards the hand and how it seems she is grabbing onto the Commander. These are a few of many questions discussed and debated. Questions no one will ever truly know the answers to. No one except for the two people in the picture. Perhaps one day, the tale will be told.
