Description
Just an example of how I edit my renders. This one had a lot of fireflies in it. It' basically all those little red dots that a screamingly visible in the base render.
My problem was that I used a point light in Blender to give the pad some glow. Blender prefers large light sources
which is why when you use smaller ones you end up with a lot of fireflies. There are fixes for that, I just haven't
gotten around to learn them yet. But I will as it will most likely save me A LOT of time when rendering "proper stuff"
for my portfolio. Anyway, to get rid of those I pretty much just used PS and my wacom to paint over it.
Also, I find the arms on the Andromeda models clip insanely much which, again, I fix by some old fashion painting in PS.
I also noticed the tweaking of the final render result resulted in some loss of details and washed out areas such as Sara's arms.
Again I just painted some of the definition back into the render. Same with Vetra's eye area and lips and mandibles.
The back of Vetra's head had lots of grain, so I painted some scales to give it more details. Same with her neck.
Now I know Vetra's armour has a lot more scratches, but I kind of don't really care. LOL
I think the metallic look I painted in looks pretty neat so wanted to keep it like that.
Anyway, so this is what the base vs final render looks like after I'm done painting it in PS.
So yeah, there ya go!

I do now, but this was like my first real render in Blender. So I hadn't figured that out. 😂

What made you transition from 3DSMax to Blender?
To denoise, I use Topaz Denoiser, a very simple program that gets the job done well enough for me to not look for more alternatives at the moment.
Increasing samples to ridiculously high amounts (like 3500) also helped, I tried it with my latest Sombra x Symmetra render. But it took almost an hour with an RTX 2080, so that's probably a project for overnight if you work with a "normal" video card. (Do not fret, I saved up for mine for five full years)

Great work creating the definition on her arms.
Elbows can be a pain, nice work smoothing.
