wow I love the detail and the lighting on this one. and the paper texture on this is phenomenal. as a classic watercolor illustration look to it.

Thanks so much. Actually I do not use any textures in my paintings, I use a stock photoshop brush that has great texture to it

Ill say, it really brings the whole thing together, especially with the layering of color on his arm and face. I can tell that you put a lot of work into the subtlety of the features, and the way the light washes out the left arm and staff really gives the picture a great sense of depth. the only thing I could think of to maybe change is perhaps adding a bit more to the background like some buildings continuing across the picture behind him connecting with the one you have, but have them more washed out by atmospheric perspective so they're more shadows than anything else. It doesn't need it by any means but it's my two sense for what that's worth. Hope you dont mind the slight critique there, I didnt want to look like I'm just gushing without thinking.
