Yup, this is a piece of the dog's tail. Just another experience when living in China; eat the dog and piece together the tail bones after.
By the way, the bugger tasted pretty good. The skin even had a bit of fur left on it. Yes, I'd do it again if given the oppourtunity. There are many animals out there left to taste.
