If I was that tree, I would feel naked without my roots all the way in the ground.
Nonetheless, this is an awesome tree.

Thanks. Yeah, I think I would too. Probably the roots did use to go all the way to the ground, before the waves eroded the land...

Thank you. We were walking down towards a beach when we saw that tree, his roots literally in the water, and I HAD to take the pic. I'd never seen anything like it before.

I just have this vision in my head of this tree moving slowly toward the water, trying to keep his legs untangled. I think this will always be one of my favorite pictures of all time.
