EDIT: I have to make an addendum (maybe I'll just repost this later and fix it), but in Step 1: Repetition, I mention using a lot of lines to create a single, continuous stroke. After more study, I actually don't agree with this anymore. Sticking by it might give you more immediate results, but I think on the long run would be overall harmful to your linework and marks. Try to do your best with using more continuous, confident strokes. Confidence is the key! Doing things a little more quickly and with a little more force (not too much, mind you) is the key to better looking lines.

I wanted to be as in-depth as possible, because I know when I started out I was always frustrated when tutorials seemed to go from step 1 to step 10 without any explanation. I'm not sure if I've succeeded, it's hard to tell if you're being clear or not when you're making them.

Now it's important to note that the best teacher is always going to be practice. The best way to learn is by doing, actively practicing drawing and learning yourself what works and what doesn't. It's also important to note that simple practice is often not enough, if you don't try to do different things. After all, drawing a circle over and over again will only make you good at drawing circles. This is why there are some artists that don't ever seem to get better, they are too comfortable doing what they always do. In any case, I hope this tutorial is helpful in teaching you at least how I draw.
