Love it!
Would you allow me to use this for a poster for Woden Youth Centre? (Canberra, Australia)
We're celebrating Drug Action Week ([link] ) and are running a Mocktail party.
It's all not for profit (The activities are free to all people 12-25yrs old, and I don't make any money off it either), and all credit will go to you, of course.
Check out my dA for exaples, or see [link] and search 'Woden Youth Centre'
Please let me know either way if you are ok with me using it or not.
Thank you so much!
Jess.

Hey,
I guess it's too late now (sorry, I don't check dA very often any more), but you're more than welcome to use this if you want - if you could send me a link to the finished poster I'd appreciate it!
Tom

Very nice! Nice fluid render, good composition and color selection... multiple light sources... cool pic! A good work of art that does much with little.

Very nice.
Can you tell me how to add the fluid into the glass? I tried booleans but it wasn't successful. I'm only capable of of creating empty ones

well i made this using the lobber glass shader, each type of interface is a new object, made with nurbs. so i made the glass, cut it in half, made th top of the liquid. then you make a glass-air shader, liquid-air shader, and a glass-liquid shader, and assign them to the right object.

did you create the nurbs for the fluid objects by hand? putting the vertices into the position right next to the vertices of the inner side of the glass?

no thats the point, there are only 3 objects per glass. one for the top of the liquid, one for the glass in contact with air, and one for the liquid-glass boundary. the curves for the nurbs were done in photoshop then exported as .eps, i find the maya vector editor pretty weird to use. i can send you the maya scene file if you like.
