1 September was offically the first day of Spring in South Africa. But it took anouther week + this year to show in the garden. This photo was taken by me in my garden.Related content

That is a very pretty flower. What kind is it?
spring, spring.. still pretty cold if you ask me

It is a Bauhinia Blakeana ( Butterfly Tree, Orchid Tree). Lots of them in the Eastern Cape. In East London we had a few lovely spring days, but its definitely colder again!!
