Description I had see ntoon of fan art of Nintendo or Playstation, or even xbox and sega. But none for atari games. This is probably till date the best multiplayer game i had ever played. Super smash Bros feels like a copy of Joust. I will dream if they ever made a Joust game in a 3d world, where you can fly.

Maybe i should start doing Fan art of Atari 2600 games.

Should i color this one?

yes, you should color this one. looks great BTW

Im a big fan of Joust too. I still play it when I visit arcades. I also own it on 360. Joust is a very hard game. it has been ported to so many consoles. the NES version of Joust is definitely the most challenging.

Dude this is a pretty sweet piece.
HA I remember that game. Joust was pretty badass whenΒ I had the chance to play it. (Born during the Atari and Arcade era.) Dude this piece is also nostalgic. I was in the store the other day and missed how it used to be filled with fighting game arcade machines.
Heck with artwork like this maybe those days can be brought back. Who knows? God knows I'm gonna do my part. XD

Anyways dude great job with this. The details are magnificent and the beauty of the foreground is stunning enough that it really compliments the simple background. Keep up the great work dude.

*Keep the classics alive!*

I love this! But, at th risk of sounding mean, I see like part of the body are in perspective and anothers, like the head and legs, are not. This confused me a bit

The Atari 2600 was my first console, and my grandparents were worried that Joust would be too complicated for me and my brother to play. It turns out that we both played it constantly though.
Atari cover art really was the absolute best in the world at the time: www.theverge.com/2013/9/19/471…
Most of the games didn't seem to have girls in them though, so if you do fan art it would mostly be stuff like Robot Tank or Pitfall Harry..! Unless you want to do a take on Space Invaders with an all female cast.

Hahaha, actually, I remember when I was about 7 years at school old I pretended to be one of the robots from Berzerk. It was a great game (though my favourite Atari games are probably Frostbite or Stargate).
By the way, if you go ahead with your Atari 2600 art project, this could be a useful resource: atariage.com/system_items.html…
It has scans of all the cover art and a lot of the instruction manuals.
