Pecan Praline is the daughter of Rarity and Applejack. She is very confident, sometimes to the point of being boastful and vain. She is also extremely stubborn and it is easy to get her riled up. Despite her bold nature, Pecan is very kind and can never turn away a pony in need.
Pecan works in Sugar Cube Corner alongside Pumpkin and Pound Cake, making sweets and decorations for the cakes and pastries.

As a foal, Pecan was very close with her Granny Smith, and it was from her that Pecan first learned the basics of baking After her grandmother passed, Pecan became very depressed. It was Big Macintosh who managed to pull her out of that dark place by picking up where Granny Smith had left off. At first Pecan was reluctant to begin baking again, but she soon found that it helped her to heal, and to feel closer to her deceased grandmother.
