Ryu from BoF II... and his ultimate dragon form. BoF II is still one of my all time fav games, if not my fav. Somehow it had such a strong impact on me... and still has ^^ This was just a photoshop doodle so myea... I was gonna do some clouds in the background (so it would match the idea of my current ID) but I can't be bothered with it right now and I wanted my desktop off my page. So for now, just the easy gradient background.<3 yay for dragonshapeshifters.

BoF is Breath of Fire, a very old SNES videogame with some very important RPG roots. If you're looking for it, try getting it on the GBA on which they re-released the SNES BoF games.

:3 I played it on the SNES then got BoF I and II on my GBA and BoF V on my PS2 I hate III and IV but damn I have such a special place for the rest of the series. It's so special, considering it's one of the great RPG roots and introduced multiple endings. Most of all BoF II which had 3 of them <3

With every RPG that comes out I can't help but run back to BoF II every now and then knowing that on an even playing field with today's games, it would probably whoop them all, and that if they remade it... I would die. (Remake as in update the graphics, not change the story)

I know what you mean, I have replayed BoF I and II so many times I lost count. *sighs* the story wasn't all that special but... damn it was pure MAGICK. I was so happy when they remade BoF I slightly on the GBA.
I still remember that the sad ending of BoF II made me cry *sighs* it was so sad that Ryu changed into a dragon in order to protect the gate...
I dunno if you've played BoF V, it's still magick but they ruined the game by giving you limited options to save your game and they even deleted the quick save in the European edition... making it near impossible to beat the game on your first run thanks to your D-counter >_< (well it's said to be impossible anyway)

I love Ray! Not as much as Ryu but... I was so sad when he died.
And wait, isn't it that if you get Township to fly that Ryu doesn't turn into a dragon?

Yup, so if you're not stupid enough to kill daddy you won't get the sad ending. I also loved the two endings in BoF I in which you could only defeat the end boss by getting you ultimate dragonform <3
But back to BoF II, Ray was tragic... and so friggin smexy. But he's not dragonshapeshifter so he's not as sexy as Ryu. I still think it's sad they didn't bring back Yua... you know she's that thief but I just would have loved to see her meet her brother again...

For example, I wonder why she is semi human... it's just odd... considering her brother has still awakening power (after being used as a guinea pig XD) and he's the oldest of the two siblings.

Yeah, that is a good question. But even with the few remaining mysterys, I still adore the game to pieces... maybe those mysteries just add to it in the end.
