I have a 13" Macbook (unibody/aluminum). If I were to buy one today, I'd buy a 13" or 15" Macbook Pro. The aluminum is very good and I don't have a mark on mine and I've had it since 2008. I would have to say it lasts, for sure. Take care of it and it will last a long time. The aluminum construction makes it incredibly durable.

I just use CandyBar ([link] ) that's it Downloaded some icons from deviantART, and got the wallpaper from deviantART as well. Hope that helps!

In OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) on a fresh install the HDD is hidden automatically as part of the layout, however, you can do your View options and just uncheck it to appear on the desktop, and than I just moved it to the dock (sorry i'm not very Mac literate, so, I promise the options are there, I just don't recall the exact menu layout to get there :S It's from the desktop, that's all I know).
