Today on this day exactly seven years ago, one of the most successful and the first game consoles of it's kind was released: The Nintendo Switch. I first heard about it in late 2016, and it was originally going to be called the NX. I remember when it was first released, I was in culinary class in high school on a Friday morning, and one of the ads that played on the large screen was that exact thing. Man it's already been seven years, and it seems like it was just yesterday. In the following weeks, I saw a lot of students playing on their new consoles during every lunch break, and the atmosphere felt so tantalizing as I not only felt left out, but we were also leaving for Mexico in just a few months. I tried my best to be happy as I knew these months were going to be the final time I was going to experience authentic happiness. The implications of this event still affect me to this day.

Just the console alone took me hours to draw and I had to use a stock image as reference. I was already tired so I settled on this design. Just in case you are wondering, no I currently don't own a Nintendo Switch, and nor do I plan on getting one.
