I was meddling around doing some studies of character interactions--hands specifically--and this started taking shape and I liked it. It was meant to be two completely different characters but somehow it turned into Sparda and Eva. It's ironic that there's very little known about them and yet I really like the two of them.I kinda imagined this scene in my head... Eva offers to teach Sparda a particular dance and he's a far better student than anticipated... I like to think Sparda was a true gentleman, calm and collected like Vergil, but still had a touch of humor and even a bit sauciness, like Dante.

I don't think I've ever seen any Sparda art before!!! I really love the hands, how he's holding hers so gently, he really does look like a gentleman here!!

Κορυφαίο, και πάλι το πιο ωραίο εδώ είναι οι εκφράσεις τους αλλά και τα μαλλιά τα έχεις πετύχει τέλεια. Το χέρι της Έβας φαίνεται λίγο τσάγκρ αρχικά αλλά αν το δεις λίγο με το κεφάλι στο πλαϊ κι έτσι ντάξει βγάνει νόημα. Αλλά αν δεν το γυρίσει μετά θα τις στραμπουληχτεί ο καρπός...

Reminds me of Laryna6 stuff. XD But really, I like how you got their faces, you can see the emotion there. And the hands are nice as well. Great job!

Actually, at least here (sometimes you do it way better in other pictures), I think you could have improved on the hair.
All my speculation. It's okay if you don't agree. :> It's still a really wonderful piece. I really love the emotion in their faces; especially Sparda. ;D I see where Dante's gets that look from...tehe~

Yeah, I know I should've done some more faffing about with Eva's hair but I was getting tired, it was getting real late and I was like...BLAAAAAH *zombie state*

Muses are always so demanding. D; And then wear us out halfway through and then it's like, "Really? You kept me up late to make me do a half-assed job?"
I think longer hair is just a ton more difficult too.

well done. if you read about sparda in the devil may cry wiki it said he was a true gentleman and such which vergil partly emulated and goofy and such which Dante seemed to inheirate. nero is kinda both.
Sparda twirls Eva. the two dance until a explosion rocks the place.
Sparda: alright who did that?
Eva: i think i know.
Verge: damnit dante if your going to kill demons watch where your shooting.
Dante: Trish and lady is going to be pissed by this.
Me: i don't think those two are the ones to worry about.
Dante: oh what could be worse. who? Mom and Dad. two ominous shadows hover behind Dante.
Dante: mom and dad are behind me aren't they.
Verg: yes. me and vergil winced when Sparda goes pyschotic on Dante who is being slammed into walls and such.
Me: aren't you going to stop this?.
Eva: he had it coming. I'll step in soon.
Verg: smiles evilly he whips out a video camera. this will make even Trish and Lady laugh.
Me: your evil.
Verg: thank you.

Awesome, as always. I love everything about this pic -- the detail, the pose, the action in the shot is wonderfully captured. Loving the hair! 8D The expression is great and you definitely captured the hints of Dante and Vergil in there perfectly. Allow me to be the first to fav.
