This is my first complete picture for my fairy tale calendar. I'm officially gonna name it my Once Upon a Time Project. Lol! I'm so original.
Anyway, the Nutcracker is my favorite fairy tale, so I started with it. I thought I'd be all cool and draw it in my big sketch book.
That sketch book is 18" x 12". I had to scan it in four parts. It's huge!Sketched with a 0.7 pencil, inked with a black Precise V5 pen, and colored with colored pencils, oil pastels, and a yellow copic marker.

I've been off Da for a while. So, sorry for the late reply. I've seen several versions of the Nutcracker, including the most recent one. I thought it was a gorgeous movie.
I'm still trying to get back into the habit of drawing regularly. So I'd honestly feel kinda uncomfortable doing requests atm. That said, I'm flattered you asked. Thank you.

As for your question, have you ever noticed that the reason they don't fit together perfectly is cause they scan at slightly different angles? I decided to try and fix that. So I used the rotate tool to get them as close as humanly possible. Then I just painted, erased, and copy-pasted the little parts that still didn't quite fit together. I was working on it for two hours trying to make it perfect.
