Light is horrible today plus it's 12 out! I willprobably replace these pics with more polished ones once she is done. The felted roots cascade down the back of her dress as well....OK so wings or no wings? I can't decide. I had originally thought to do some wings embellished with various faux greenery to match what is on her. But then I thought with her felted root-y skirt maybe not. WHt do you think?

Dryads do not have wings any way- but neither should mermaids and yet there was a wave of winged sea spirits which I never understood...
This is a beautiful piece- wings would ruin the piece's overall look I think.

This is truely gorgeous. No wings, though. Adding wings would make her lean more toward creature of the air instead of a creature of the Earth.

I've never heard of Dryads with wings. I say no wings.

I think wings would make her look too crowded, plus I don't think wings would be really appropriate for a Dryad. Now, if she were a Naiad or an Oceanid, then fin-like wings would be appropriate.

No wings, most definately. I love that you took the time to set her up properly! A lot of people just stick thier work on a table in poor lighting and snap a blurry photo.

Thanks, the costuming is actually my favorite part. That and sculpting the face. The rest is sheer drudgery, LOL.
