Description Hi, This One Was A While Ago. The Piping Takes Forever But Was Worth It In The End. I Think I Have Made Three Of These With Different Flowers But This Was The Best. The Balls Have To Be Piped Onto Baking Paper & Dried Before Adding .
7 Inch Heart Fruit Cake.
Covered In Real Marzipan Made With Almond Meal.
( not the store bought marzipan with almond essence ... YUK )
Then Iced In Supreme Plastic Icing & The Board.
10 Rows Of Piping Including The Balls !!!
You'll Need A Steady Hand & Patience To Get The Rows Straight.
6 Roses & Leaves Made In Modeling Paste On Florist Wire.
I Have In My Note Book That This Took Me 16 Hours To Make ... Total Madness ...
I Can't Take Credit For The Design It Came From A Cake Decorating Book.
Any Questions Or Comments Appreciated ...

hi, There Not Piped, There Made By Hand Using Sugar Modeling Paste ... I Make A Cone Center Over A Wire With A Loop On The End ( Let Dry ) Then Wrap The First Petal Over It , Then A Layer Of Three Petals & A Final Layer Of Five Petals ... Lighten Each Layer Of Paste With More White ... You Can Get Rose Petal Cutters But They Leave A Sharp Edge So I Find It Better By Hand ... The Leaves Are Done With The Cutters To Get The Serrated Edge & Then I Use A Rubber Leaf Veiner To Texture It Or Even Use The Back Of A Real Leaf ... The Roses Have A Calyx Added Then Just Wire Them All Together Using Florist's Tape ... Sounds Pretty Simple ... But Takes A Lot Of Practice To Get Them Looking Realistic ... The Main Problem Is You Have To Be Quick As The Modeling Paste Cracks If You Try & Shape The Petal After It Starts To Dry ...
