I think it's a pretty good piece overall!
I think my main critique is with the anatomy.
The head seems a little wide, almost smushed. The leg that's standing is a little unnatural. You attempted foreshortening, which Is great, but keep practicing, the arm seems a bit off.
Your shading is really great in some places and lacking in others.
I love the shading on the end of the weapon and the hair. I think you did a fantastic just in these places. The shading on the clothes are good, but almost of a different style of shading. The main area I think you need to focus on is where you shaded her skin. You used a completely different style. You used smudge shading which can look good, but in comparison to other parts of the drawing it just lacks, ya know? I'd use the same solid shading you used on her clothes.
The background is interesting and creative.
The only draw back is the blur of the glow. I'm not quite sure what I'd do to change it, but maybe keep the glow closer to the arrow things (I'm pretty sure the arrows are originated the glow, If not then never mind lol) But other than glow don't be afraid to experiment. Again I think its is a very interesting piece with great promise. It looks good and cute character! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

This is a good piece! The coloring works extremely well for the character but the background is rushed. You could practice painting effects and post more pieces like this to get used to it.
The drawing part need a bit of tweaks. Mainly you need to learn how to notice proportion if something looks small/big, Where I see things looking off are the neck and the upper arms. They are too small in comparison with the rest of her body/head.
The view on the leg that she stands on can be reworked, like maybe show the feet from the side or make her seem like she's flying forward with her leg bent a bit!
Overall you did well! There are all sorts of things to improve, those were the main ones I noticed right away. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/m/m⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

first of all MOM HOLY FUCK this is a fantastic piece!!! the lighting is GORGEOUS and the coloring is great too, the color scheme here is absolutely solid and the gradients look beautiful without being overwhelming! i especially like the colors you used for the weapon, the lines look so smooth and well done on the areas with a lot of detail such as th weapon and her hip ornament. this background is amazing, you used a lot of different colors without the piece looking messy or strange and the background really works with the pose + character, the lighter orbs give it a nice touch of contrast against the dark background and accentuate the character. and OH MY GOSH. YOUR SHADING. as always your shading is GORGEOUS. while the hair is of course stunning as always (i would kill someone for how you shade hair i s2g) i really adore the shading you did on the more complicated parts of the piece, like her clothes! that dress in particular, and again the hip ornament, balances the detail of the outfit with impactful shading in a way that's easy to look at. you combined hard and soft shading really well here, with cel shading and painterly shading used in a way that provides visual contrast.
the only real critiques i have is that the pose looks a bit strange? it's a little hard to see a distinct line of motion with this pose and the paler leg looks a little off in comparison to the other one, especially in regard to how the thighs are connected to her hips. additionally, the black lineart looks a little flat since there's so much going on with the lighting - you did a little on like the hair on the right side of the piece and the weapon as well, but keeping the face + neck black kinda draws attention away from it (which is where you generally want people to look at first and presumably where you want attention to be hooked first) black, since it blends into the dark background. but overall these are minor issues and definitely don't detract from the piece!!! well done!!!! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="
