Another photo, kindly snapped by Cosplay Ninjas.Myself and husband as (star-crossed lovers) Mia Fey and Godot. Was really great wearing these together, and it gave me reason to stand around and act semi-serious like. xD

It was a fun cosplay, and I was surprised at the attention we got for them, since the game is a bit older! I bought that scarf (It is hilariously the same as hers in game), made the suit, and cast the magatama from resin! I still have the master cast, so I'm hoping to make a few more for fellow Ace Attorney fans.

Ahaha yeah, you're pretty lucky to get such fans! The franchise, even if it worked quite good, isn't "equally" spread in France, so my place is full of people who actually don't know the game....
Maybe the arrival of Phoenix as a fighting character in Marvel vs Capcom will give it a lil' boost. And bring new postures for the Ace Attorney :3

Ah, I see. I fear that it must be like that in many parts of the world. You know what was super funny? Even when my Godot wore his costume, he was asked several times if he was an, "Anime Cyclops"! It was pretty hilarious, but just goes to show you that the games are only semi-well known. But you should continue to spread the word in France! I'm sure it'll catch on.
Looking forward to Marvel vs Capcom 3! Phoenix is gonna bring the hurrrrt. (Hahaha!)

Hahaha, yes! We explained it a few times, but after having it repeated over and over (Same question), my Godot was just like, "Uhh, yeah, sure! Whatever! Anime Cyclops!" *cue grin and pose with coffee cup*
I'm sure that if it were humanly possible to fire lasers out of his visor, he would have. xD Was amusing, not really annoying.
I'm sure if you wear the costume when you pick the game up, people will freak out and take pictures!

Yeah, i dropped on that as well, just make a "yeah yeah", smile and it's okay! And...Someho, people come by themselves, asking who am I cosplaying. Maybe if you don't try to explain, they get curious by themselves
I remember friends cosplaying FF XIII when the game came out, bought the game, and were asked to make some animation...Well that could be fun actually

We had a few people ask who we were and that was great! Some people knew who we were, but couldn't rememmber the names. In general though, many people just yelled at us, "OBJECTION!" wherever we went! So much fun.

This is amazing. I've never seen a better Mia and Godot pair. The Ace Attorney games are my favorite games and, what do you know, I just finished replaying the very end of T&T an hour ago.

The ace attorney games are my favorites, and I so rarely see them cosplayed well. So when I see really amazing cosplay of these characters, I kind of freak out. I cosplayed Ema Skye last otakon, and I haven't had a chance to post them on dA, but here they are on flickr if you're interested!

As a couple who've just gotten back into pair cosplay (It's been since 2004 since we last did anything together) it means so much that you say so. I hope we can continue to make good costumes and wear 'em. Planning on it, anyhow. :3!

Mia's so much more professional than Ema. Ema's such a goober and a nerd... XD And it's really easy to make TONS of props for her. It's also a really comfortable cosplay to wear on a sunday, after being in all this crazy stuff all con.

Yup, I certainly did make it~
First I created a smooth sculpy version, then created a latex cast from it, and finally cast it out of polyester resin. Was a stinky job but yielded great results. I was able to use a pearl pigment powder in it as well, which gave it a more 'mystical' quality. :3 I still have the mold, and actually several other magatama's that I casted (Cause well, I got bored and had lots of resin!) and they're kinda just kickin' around now. xD;

Hmm, probably not as I can't really see myself as anyone else but Mia, haha. If I were to choose other costumes for the same character, I'd like to put together the Maid outfit she channels into, or the kimono from the artbook. But it's a possibility that he would consider Diego, as it would be simple to throw together? :3
Who knows. I'm set on Castlevania cosplay right now, but I'm all over the place so I might come back to Ace Attorney at some point.
