Kintsugi - Dragon Marking
Represented by the genomic letter Ki
Kintsugi is a genetic dragon marking gene found in Elysium's Invasive Dragon Species. Kintsugi produces a type or banding or striping over the dragon which appears only on their head, neck, legs and tail. These bands tend to form partial patterns and circular shapes and may also form singular spots. These lines are never free floating and always connected but may end in points. The metallic banding itself can be expressed in silver or in gold.

In between these bands the dragons base coat may be lightened or darkened. Our Obsidian example shows a lightening effect while the Stone example shows how the Kintsigu darkens the base.

Kintsugi can be very minimal with only a few simple bands like we see in the Tonitruum above. It can also be very heavy like we see in the Obsidian Aquadylia.
