The universe that they did this in... initially no. This version of Mary Jane was based on the world where Doctor Doom became God as a result of two of the Marvel universes colliding... What Doom ultimately created, had Peter and MJ still married and living in New York with their daughter, Annie May, and were confronted by the villain Regent who was amassing powers from various superheroes and villains to fight Doom...

However, that universe proved popular, especially for those who still liked the idea of Peter and MJ being married. So, it became something of an alternate universe after Doom was defeated and the main Marvel U was reset... Though, MJ actually still doesn't have powers of her own. She's actually using some of Regent's tech that Peter's repurposed that allows her to essentially borrow some of Peter's powers... though it has the negative risk of draining Peter of his powers.

Actually, I saw a page from the comic, and it looks like she's with Peter and their daughter!  Reminded me of the Incredibles!  Maybe I should give it a read sometime.
