Do you think that's because you saw the companion image to this or do you think it really looks like that? I wanted it to look like the mother robot, but wasn't sure that came through. What are your thoughts?

Well, now, that's a good question.
There's definitely a sense that there is an eye behind the girl, watching what's happening. I immediately see it as the mother, but whether I've been influenced to make that connection because of seeing the previous image, it's hard to say for certain. I do think it's a rather natural connection to make, though.
