An amusing little scene from the L4D fanfic

"A little bored, Daz?" Kota turned to the young Hunter, walking across the lot, Vex's tongue in his fist. He nodded.
"To death." He replied. There was a gagging sound, and Kota whipped her head to Vex, leaning forward, as if he was going to heave. Daz spun on his heels and walked back. He got back to Vex, then turned for another walk across the Hospital parking lot. Vex gagged again, and Daz paused, turning to face him. "You alright, bud?"
"Of course." Replied Vex sarcastically. He was paler than usual. Zero and Kota exchanged a sidelong glance at each other. Daz gave Vex a stare before starting to walk again. Vex's eye twitched. "Would you stop that?!" This surprised everyone. Vex was usually as calm as can be. Everyone but Daz stared at him. "Because for your information," Vex continued, "That's my intestine you're pulling on." Daz looked over his shoulder and back at the intestine in his fist, not knowing what to think. "And all the while, you're jerking my whole stomach up." Now it was Kota's turn to gag. She covered her mouth quickly. "Now, unless you wanna see that rat I ate yesterday, LET. MY. INNARDS. GO." Daz immideatly released the organ. It didin't even reach the ground before Vex retracted it. He swallowed hard as the organ fell roughly back into place. He fell onto his back, his hands over his stomach. "God," He sighed. "I think I'm gonna be sick."
"No, wait untill the humans get here." Zero called. "Maybe your bile will attract the horde like a Boomer's." Everyone but Vex laughed for a minute. There was a moment of silence, then Vex shot forward, bile sprayed from his mouth and nearly hit Daz, who narrowly leaped clear. Vex wiped his mouth on his sleeve. An Infected's head popped up from a car window. It was sniffing madly. It clawed it's way through, and starting looking for the source of the smell. Zero snorted.
"Oh, shut up." Groaned Vex as others started appearing from thier hiding places, looking for the smell. Kota got up, and helped Vex to his feet.
"We can stay here tonight. The rooms here are usually empty. All the people here left. Vex nodded slightly.
"Sorry, Vex." Daz said in almost a snigger as he watched more and more Infected come out into the open. Kota pulled Vex's arm over her shoulder, and helped him into Mercy Hospitial, the band of hunters following close behind.
