So all the professors turn into trees?
Oak, Elm, Birch, Rowan, Juniper, Sycamore. We now have a forest!

So, this would make for a nice Sailor Moon- Crossover. Not the sailor girls gifted with the power of the universe, but the sailor profs gifted with the power of the forest. And probably clad in an equally revealing way. Well, thank you, now I have a rather disturbing image in my head :'D

So would it be like typical Sailor Moon with a school uniform-esque outfit, but with (short)shorts and sailor shirts, or like typical women's wear, but instead of showing as much boob as possible it shows as much ball/butt as possible?

hmm... I prefer the shorts and sailor shirt showing off a lot of muscle and well-built body and a Tarzan-esque loincloth or some kind of stylish superhero-cape above all. And some sort of crowns or diadems made of sycamore/birch/oak/etc leaves respecively.
I dunno.
But I think showing as much ball/butt as possible won't be good for fighting. Somehow, less armor=more armor seems only to work for women.

I think the idea is that the body fat is supposed to act like naturally made armor. At least that is true for gladiators, who were rather fat in order to have more protection against weapons while battling in the arena.
However, it really just draws down to appealing to male audiences. Thus showing off as much skin/body shape as possible. Sex(ism) is what sells after all.
Also Fukus aren't really ideal for battle, but that is appealing to an audience of young girls who wear a similar looking uniform.

Now I kinda want to see them all at a party and some drunk champion or gym leader insist they all stand together in a group, thinking they're hilarious because all the professors make a forest.
