Description So this young man is one of my oldest and proudest Transformer character creations, and I only just recently redrew his full design after around of year of neglecting him in art form, haha (and I want to thank my very best friend for knocking that fact straight into my skull, by the way). I am super proud of how these drawings came out. And that despite the high level of detail there is in the live-action movies' depiction of a transformer, I was still able to put a lot of emotion into his face. Trying to maintain consistency was a pain in the butt, however.

I really like how despite Captain Ricochet and Fevercrux are in the same age range and are around the same size, they have very different looks. Captain Ricochet's form language is more large and square-like, which in his character means he is pretty stubborn, and carries warrior-like and physically strong traits. I really wanted his appearance to convey masculinity and pure strength, as he is someone with a preferance of close combat, and beating his opponents by using as little gun as he can . . . Oh boy, I forgot to mention that he has combat knives kept away in his forearms. The dude also has a large axe that he refuses to carry around, but the rest of the information on why that is is secret.

Moving on to his color physique, his abundant amount of black carries the most symbolism to his peronsality and character. He has a negative outlook on his future and finds it hard to see the good aspects in his current situation. But other than that, he is protective, formal and elegant, and even a bit sophisticated. Yet he is also, forcefully, only but for the good of himself, aloof and strays away from making friends, and pessimistic. Despite what he seems like on the outside, tough, stubborn, and distant, he is very neglectful to what he really needs and wants; Recognition, appreciation, and love. He enjoys being social but hates the isolation he forced upon himself to avoid the stresses of forming close relationships during the war. His white bits are there to show that even the little things about him matter; like his integrity, youth and innocence, independence, and perfectionism. However, it also means he keeps strong barriers and makes it hard for others to get him to open up about his true feelings.

Now, for the people that saw my Tagbite sheet and noticed that the vehicle in that one is oversized just like the one in this sheet, I can answer for why that is. I commonly see mass shifting happening all over the Transformers franchise, especially in the movies. Such as when the alt mode is much bigger than the robot mode, and vice versa. When I made my characters in the past, I gave them heights according to my observations. But recently I noticed that I was off by a lot with some of them. I debated changing their sizes so that they were accurate to their vehicle's mass, because I have other transformers with alt modes that were realisitically nearly six times bigger than the actual size of this car. And to make it fair and a little less bizare, I wanted to even their heights out, so that we don't have a drastic change in heights, and so that we have a fair fight between my Autobots and my Decepticons. Unless one was genuinely made to be gigantic or tiny, of course. Besides, wouldn't it be pretty 'alien' and cool to see a car two feet bigger than its real size? I am very open minded when it comes to opinions about Transformers, and I do not mind anyone agreeing or disagreeing with my reasonings behind this. Who knows, maybe at some point in the future I might size him down according to the real car's actual size.
