this is the final edit of the first deviation i ever submitted to da. these swords were also my first digital piece, which i did in ms paint and spent nearly 30 hours on. knowing what i know now, i probably could have done this in four at the absolute most. it was good fun making this look all spiffy! ^_^all origional. the sword design is for one of my characters!

Wow >< This is one of the few pieces of art where the lightside-sword looks cooler than the darkside-sword, even when they are the same design. The only thing, really, is that the background sun-ring circle makes the picture a bit confusing, since the swords are already so intricate. And may I suggest doing different designs with the swords next time? It would add greater contrast between light and dark *nod*

Wow, those swords are heavy-duty! I hope the character who wields them is a strong person! I like the gem details especially, nice highlights on those.

thanks! ^_^ actually, the character has only one sword, but it's four inches taller than he is. it's made of shadows tho, so he holds it like it weighs nothing, and uses his influence over darkness to make it hit with as much force as he wants. to everyone else it weighs 2 tons!
