Having a rather normal childhood, Cornflower wouldn't initially seem like the type to participate in combat. She is the daughter of gardeners and this, combined with her intelligence lead her to develop Dust-fused plants at an early age. Things became a bit more difficult though, when her Semblance was activated at age eleven. She accidentally trapped another child in the world of illusion for three days. Her parents grew to fear her for this reason, rarely letting her touch them for fear of being trapped as well. Both had troubling pasts, and worried they'd never escape is she did trap them. Eventually, they discovered Dr. Artifice and sent Cornflower away to her. As an expert of Semblances and lover of unusual children, they figured it was the best option. There she has remained for the last six years, befriending Sterling and become one of her loyal followers.
