SEPHIROTH~! to those of you that heard this in the One Winged Angel theme

This is a project that I did for my Grade 12 art class and have been meaning to upload it here for the longest time. This is probably my favorite piece of art out of all that I have ever done. It turned out (for once) better than I had imagined it would and I just love everything about it.

This was created using a whole tone of mixed media. First was watercolor for the background and then I pasted pieces of wallpaper and sheet music on it to give it texture and depth. Originally the background was to represent the Lifestream but it all got covered up by the wallpaper and shtuff. Next I found a picture of Sephy that I wanted and posterized it in Photoshop then turned it to a greyscale so I got the three shades you see. Afterwards I created a stencil and cut out pieces so I could airbush the colors on the picture. That was probably the longest and hardest part about this piece, THERE WERE SOOOO MANY LITTLE PIECES I HAD TO KEEP TRACK OF AND REMEMBER WHERE THEY WENT! Finally when he was finished I used ink and watercolor to create the wing and then printed off the words underneath the wing, ripping them to give them better shape rather than cutting them. Then the finished product is what you all see here!
