The first thing that shocked me first was that I read it was a photomanip.
I really looks like a photograph.
The second was the lightning, because even that it has light, it transmits this gray, dark, lonely feeling.

I got all creeped out because I thought this was a photo at first and I was like "HOW DID THEY GET A POSE EXACTLY LIKE THE ONE I REF'D FOR THIS [link] ??"
Then I figured out it was a photomanip and we probably used the same stock. hahaha

maybe it's just me, but instead of a sad feel, i get an...'insane' feel, i guess. like, i look at the girl in this picture, and i see the stuffed animal - worn and ratty-looking - lying off to the side while she swings on an old swing, and i think, 'this girl must be slightly...mentally challenged.'
that's probably not the feeling you were going for, but i do like it. you see so many pictures that are 'sad,' and seeing one that makes me think 'insanity' is refreshing.

it's not just you, some people get that feeling. I do get a mix of it and of sadness and loneliness. Actually, it might have to do with the fact I watched Shutter Island a couple of days before, so it must have influenced me, lol
