Waaaaaay back in the day I made a design for Togo to fit in the movie. I decided to make an updated version. He could be Baltos father in that Universe or older brother or something.

If he was the father maybe he did not know he had pups. He was on a sled-team and met a wolf and they fell in love. He was torn between his human and his beloved and the wolf between the pack and him. She disappeared and he never found her again. When returning to Nome he meets Balto. This regarding WQ and WoC.

For just the first movie i still agree with Simon Wells that the wolf was the father (since a litter of pups born in Nome is more plausible) but again: it is my version. I still like to dive into theories and "What if" scenarios.
