April 24 2009 - Added a request for critiques.I have no formal art training and would love any input!
"The Gatekeeper" 2008.
This kind soul is the gatekeeper to the land of dreams.
He offers sticky, sweet smoke to those that don't travel well.
What you do when you get there is your responsibility...
My first photo manipulation using stock photos.
I felt I was missing out by not taking advantage of the stock out there. It was quite different to work with so many layers and different stock photos for one image.
This one took 2 days.

i really like the textures in the piece as well as the tones of the colors

for the quanity of deviations you have, at least theres still quality. you look like you really took your time on this one, and it came out great it was worth it, i love the tree...i wish i had one liek that at my house :]

very interesting concept, I really love the darkness of this. The red was a wonderful color to choose really makes this image "pop" adds a wonderful contrast to this piece. Well done

Great composition - btw. The sky is actually excellent - like an old daguerreotype.
