Completed 01/11/06This is a Coelacanth, a fish that was thought to be extinct for 65 million years, until one was found in a fishing boat's deep-sea catch in 1938.
Painted with acrylics on a 16"x20" canvas.

That looks mighty fine, especially the head. The glowing effect of the eyes is neat, and I love the shape of the jaw. I was just talking with my cousin about these, but we couldn't remember the name. =3 I also like the perspective on the front fin/leg things.
